One of the most rewarding career decisions you can make is to be a substitute teacher. Substitute teaching is perfect if you want to:
So how do you start? Well, you could take the time to learn your local school district’s requirements for subs. Then, start an application for each district you want to teach at.
The hitch is that applying gets complicated when requirements and application processes differ by district.
We’ve summarized the general steps to become a Florida substitute teacher in this blog post.
But if you’re curious about becoming a substitute teacher in Florida the easy way, this is the guide for you.

Luckily, with Scoot, you only apply once to be able to work at multiple school districts. And you don’t need to take any steps to get a Florida substitute teaching certification.
From application to onboarding, your Scoot managing consultant will help you with any questions you have along the way.

You have 100% flexibility with us. Whether you’re building an artistic career or taking care of a family, you’re free to work as much or as little as you like with us.
