All Scoot educators meet state-regulated early childhood requirements, with every document verified, tracked, and securely shared with you before they step foot onto your sites. We manage the full compliance process – from licensing forms to training certifications – and can include any qualifications that are unique to your organization. Just tell your consultant, and we handle the rest.

Your staff arrive with required training certifications (Mandated Reporter, CPR, First Aid), verified ECE unit requirements, and a complete immunization record.

Consultation

Every partner works with a dedicated Scoot Education Consultant who becomes your right hand for early childhood staffing.

Your consultant takes the time to understand your center’s values, challenges, ratios, and what success looks like.

That’s how your consultant sends not just anyone, but the right educators. After learning your needs, your consultant shares detailed profiles and resumes of matched early childhood educators who meet your requirements and compliance standards.

Recruitment

We proactively recruit qualified candidates within your communities – prioritizing those with relevant early childhood classroom experience. Every educator goes through Scoot’s rigorous vetting:

  1. Background checks
  2. Professional references, including one from a manager
  3. Virtual interview
  4. State-regulated ECE compliance verification (more above)

We continuously source, train, and coach high-quality candidates all year, ensuring you have dependable coverage and a steady pipeline of high-quality talent.

Matching

Matching isn’t just a step for us. It speaks to the core of how we view placements as not just sending anyone available but the right person who is ready on day one.

We collect all important information that is unique to your site ahead of time from curriculum expectations to daily routines.

Before day one, we personally call the educator to prepare them with everything they need to succeed: who to check in with, parking details, dress code, classroom norms, and any additional guidance you provide.

This ensures your Scoot educators arrive ready, confident, and aligned with your environment.

Temp-to-perm

Scoot offers a low-risk path to hiring educators you love.

Many partners use Scoot’s temp-to-perm pathway to hire exceptional early childhood educators full-time.

You get time to assess fit and performance, while we handle compliance and HR functions – letting you hire with confidence when you’re ready.

Compliance that meets your standards

Compliance that meets your standards

We handle all certifications, background checks, and state compliance, so admin can focus on operations. All documents and certifications are securely stored and available whenever you need them.

  1. Multi-step vetting: Includes phone screen, 1:1 virtual interview, state and federal compliance checks
  2. Three references: We verify experience with previous coworkers and require that one reference be a direct manager/supervisor
  3. Ongoing support after placement: If an educator struggles, our team steps in immediately to coach or replace – so your students don’t lose momentum
Try-before-you-hire

Try-before-you-hire

Test an educator in a long‑term placement before hiring full‑time. Our temp‑to‑perm pathway gives you a low‑risk, high‑confidence way to build a team you trust without pausing classes or compromising quality.

  1. Evaluate real classroom fit: See how the educator interacts with children, collaborates with staff, and supports your routines before deciding to hire.
  2. Adjust or pivot with no risk: If the match isn’t right, your consultant quickly replaces the educator so your classroom never loses momentum.
  3. Hire with confidence: When you find the right person, transition them to your team seamlessly—after observing their performance over weeks or months.
Thoughtfully matched for early childhood

Your dedicated consultant learns your center’s values, environment, curriculum approach, and staffing challenges. With that insight, we thoughtfully source and match educators who not only meet requirements but who genuinely fit your classrooms.

  1. Personalized service: We gather everything—class routines, student needs, expectations, and communication styles—to match you with the right educator.
  2. Ready for day one: Educators receive all site details ahead of time (check‑in process, dress code, parking, classroom expectations) so they arrive ready and confident.
  3. A partner who stays involved: Your consultant actively supports the placement, ensuring educators thrive and your classrooms stay consistent.

Scoot success stories

YWCA Greater Los Angeles

The Challenge
YWCA Greater Los Angeles needed vacancy support and qualified, long-term educators to hire permanently for early childhood settings. They couldn’t call their previous vendor for support, so were looking for a staffing partnership with more responsive communication.

The Scoot Solution
We placed 12 long‑term educators across all 6 sites. We checked in regularly to ensure the temp-to-perm pipeline was strengthening their community.

The Growth
After multiple successful 4-6 month trials, they hired 5 of our educators across 3 of their sites.

What people say

Partnering with Scoot Education has been an excellent experience. They took the time to understand our needs and the culture of our site, and they consistently matched us with educators who fit seamlessly into our community.

Some of those educators have since joined our team permanently, reflecting the strong quality and alignment of the candidates they provide. We deeply value this partnership and the positive impact it has had on our community center here at the YWCA Greater Los Angeles Walnut Park CDC.

After leaving a job where I felt completely drained and unmotivated in my teaching career, I worried I might never find another meaningful role in my field.

Finding Scoot completely turned things around for me. The team took the time to understand me and placed me at a school that was the perfect fit. My recruiter was incredibly supportive and genuinely invested in my wellbeing.

I’m now a permanent employee at the site Scoot found for me, and I couldn’t be happier. I’m excited to continue growing in early childhood education and so thankful to Scoot for finding me the right place to thrive.

question?

We’ve got you. Find fast answers in our FAQ.

How do you ensure new hires are ready on day one of their placement?

Your dedicated Scoot consultant personally prepares every educator before they arrive, sharing site details like daily routines, curriculum expectations, check‑in procedures, dress code, and parking.

Because we handle full ECE compliance, onboarding, and background checks upfront, educators show up confident, aligned, and ready to support your classroom from day one.

Do you have a temp-to-perm option?

Yes! Many partners use our temp‑to‑perm pathway to hire exceptional educators full‑time.

You can observe performance during a long‑term placement, ensure a strong fit with your team, and hire with confidence once you’re ready.

A high percentage of our early childhood educators are ultimately hired by our partners because of our thoughtful matching process.

Does Scoot have a separate early childhood team?

Yes. Our early childhood division is led by a dedicated team trained in ECE licensure, compliance, and long‑term staffing needs.

You’ll work directly with a consultant who specializes in early childhood programs and deeply understands the requirements of preschools, daycares, and Head Start centers.

Is there a minimum commitment?

Scoot does not require a minimum staffing commitment.

We operate on a flexible, pay‑as‑you‑go model that lets you scale up or pare down coverage as needs change.

Directors can extend or shorten placements at any time without penalty.

What qualifications do your early childhood candidates have?

All Scoot educators meet state‑regulated early childhood requirements, including verified ECE units, background checks, immunization records, and required certifications (such as Mandated Reporter, CPR, and First Aid).
