Our application process will ask for documentation such as:
We use the phone screening and/or interview stages to go over your experience and assess whether what we can offer matches what you’re looking for.
Once you successfully complete the application process, you’ll get onboarded with your designated consultant to unpack what to expect in your new role.
Depending on what you applied for, you can either be placed in a long-term position or a part-time based on your work availability.
Scoot BCBA roles are typically full-time at a single school site for the full academic year.
You’ll support students by creating intervention plans, collaborating in IEP meetings, and providing direct services. You’ll also coach support staff while building meaningful relationships with students, families, and educators through ethical, trauma-informed practices.
Both your Scoot consultant and your practicing BCBA coordinator are here to support you. We’ll be advocating for your caseload, schedule and professional integrity.
Your BCBA coordinator also reviews your contracts and placements to ensure we abide by all standards outlined in the Ethics Codes by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board.
Know your hours are protected, not dependent on family availability or last-minute cancellations.
If a school has a shift change, it’s not on you to manage the missing hours. Your designated Scoot consultant reviews your schedule and proposes alternatives.
Finish work when the school day ends. No evening shifts.
Your consultant will let you know of existing opportunities based on your travel preferences and incoming ones as we grow our school partnerships.
Our consultants verify supervision ratios, scope boundaries, and documentation systems upfront – then communicate and advocate for you when school placements don’t meet requirements.
“I’ve gone from planning my family time around work to planning my work around family.
I oversee RBT hours and work closely with a [Scoot] coordinator to stay organized and ensure everything runs smoothly. Each RBT also has a [Scoot] consultant, which means I can dedicate my supervision time at schools to purely clinical support.
Having that flexibility, combined with the support of a collaborative team, has made my role both sustainable and fulfilling.”
We’ve got you. Find fast answers in our FAQ.
As a school BCBA, you’ll have responsibilities beyond supervising RBTs. These roles entail working in small groups or 1:1 settings with students with special needs and/or the adults who provide services to students with special needs. The needs of this student population can range from “mild/moderate” to “moderate/severe” (also known as Extensive Support Needs).
Key responsibilities beyond RBT coaching can include:
You’re a W-2 employee with similar hours to a contracted setup but without the additional compliance tasks.
The Scoot RBT Coordinator and Scoot Education Consultants will manage all of the scheduling and organization.
Unlike independent consulting with unpredictable client schedules that you have to manage, you’ll typically work predictable school hours with some after school opportunities.
As a BCBA, you’ll supervise assigned RBTs with built-in weekly meeting time and support from our BCBA coordinator. We handle the logistics of maintaining proper supervision ratios and documentation while ensuring your supervisory responsibilities align with BACB ethical standards.
Initial BCBA application review takes 2-3 business days, followed by an interview with a Scoot Education Consultant to discuss your certification goals and schedule needs. Once approved, placement matching typically takes 1-4 weeks depending on district needs in your preferred locations.
